Happy campers on the GISSV Mountain View campus: our spring camps are in full swing!
Kibili (Preschool & Kindergarten) Camp
True to the motto "Spring and Easter," our Kibili campers colored eggs, had an Easter breakfast and went on an egg hunt during the first week of camp. They got crafty while creating pom-pom bunnies and chicks, planted seeds as well as early bloomers and created a magical fairy garden. The main topic of the second week, which is currently still in session, are the four seasons. Campers are reading books and coloring big canvases on this subject. Great fun is had crafting spring-inspired flowers out of handprints, building summerly sand castles, creating hedgehogs typical for the fall season and making winterly snowmen out of wool.
Engaging nature experiments and craft projects are making for two fun-filled weeks of camp for our elementary students. Among many other activities, campers sprouted seeds and are watched them grow, colored Easter eggs and went on an egg hunt, created bean-filled pillows and went on a field trip to explore the Palo Alto Junior Museum. They are also learning about and exploring nature in our neighborhood.
