GISSV San Francisco's third graders recently ventured to Crissy Fields for a day of outdoor learning.
As part of their social studies and science class, the students are learning about marine animals and were excited for this opportunity for hands-on marine habitat exploration. At the beach, they observed the coastal landscape, the ocean, the bay and local animals. The students also noticed trash along the beach and discussed the dangers posed by it for the ocean and wildlife. Everyone clearly enjoyed this immersive learning experience beyond the classroom!
