Welcome to GISSV
First Day of the 2014-2015 School Year
Welcome to the new school year! Teachers and students alike were delighted to reunite after the summer break and meet new and familiar faces at the school entry ceremonies for new Kindergarten children and first graders at our three campus locations in Mountain View, San Francisco and Berkeley. Per German tradition, each new student received a “Schultüte” (school cone) filled with goodies and practical items to send them off to a good start into their school journey. German Consul General Stefan Schlüter and Consul Julia Reinhardt attended the events and addressed our bilingual school community. Older Elementary School children welcomed their new fellow students with musical performances and short plays. Thank you to everyone who helped make the events special! We are looking forward to all the exciting things the new school year will hold for us.
