The programs of the GISSV are created to meet the needs of families looking for a quality bilingual education. Our school is an optimal choice for families in the Bay Area. GISSV's pedagogical approach ensures that students are prepared for a smooth transition into the American and European educational systems.

  • Accreditation as a German Overseas School
  • Multilingual Curriculum: German and English beginning in Grade one, with a third foreign language (either French or Spanish)
  • Graduating students earn the German International Abitur and obtain all of the required qualifications for a California High School Diploma

Pre-School in Mountain View 
  • For ages 3-5 in the morning or full days in mixed-age group
  • Dual Immersion Program (German and English)
  • Flexible options between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Extracurricular Activities/Afterschool Program
  • Language Day once a week (Mountain View)
  • School as a laboratory - hands-on science for students in grades 10-12 (Mountain View)
  • Afternoon club includes homework supervision, play time and miscellaneous activities from Monday - Friday until 5:30 pm
  • A variety of extracurricular activities are available, including soccer, chess, robotics and drama
Saturday School (Mountain View only)
  • German Language Classes for all ages on Saturdays
  • Adult and Corporate Classes also on weekdays
Summer School 
  • Full German Language Immersion for Kindergarten/Preschool and Grades 1-4
  • Activity-based camps
  • Four 2-week sessions in summer
