Bike-and-Walk-to-School Day - SF Campus

The San Francisco Eco-Committee organized a very successful event last week as part of the city-wide Bike to Work Day.

Over a third of the overall student population participated in the Bike-and-Walk-to-School day with 19% biking and 15% walking. At recess children who biked or walked to school (and others) were able to give the "Fender Blender" a spin - powering their own blender by pedaling a stationary bike. All kids enjoyed fruit smoothies made with their own GREEN power and helped spread awareness about more eco-friendly forms of transportation. Thanks to all who participated and helped and don't miss the last Walk-to-School day of the year on our San Francisco Campus on Wednesday, June 12.
