Mountain View's 6b went on a treasure hunt in the Computer History Museum.
Written by Freya Hoeynck, grade 6
The class 6b went on a field trip to the Computer History Museum with Frau Fritz and Mrs. Melone on Friday last week. Frau Graber joined in later, because she drove to the destination with her car. First the student were welcomed by a worker from the museum and the worker talked the children into the program. The children got divided into small groups and each group got one iPad and one item from "history" with which they had to solve a case. There was an app on the iPad in which every group got different cases they had to solve. The students walked through the museum in sight of a hint for solving the case. At the end of solving the case every group got a code for a lock on the treasure chest. After every group got their code they walked up into a room, the room where the treasure chest was in, which they wanted to unlock. After a short time all the locks on the chest were open and everyone saw the price laying in the treasure chest. It was at least one USB stick for every child and collectible cards about the ghost's case you had to solve. After this great field trip all of the students walked to school and still had sixth period.
