GISSV Mountain View 10th graders gained hands-on work experiences in companies and offices around the Bay Area last week.

 

 

During GISSV's annual 10th grade internship/job shadowing program last week, our Mountain View students had the opportunity to gather first impressions of life in the working world while spending an inspiring five days in companies and offices around the Bay Area.

The students organized the job arrangements themselves, which enabled to learn about writing application letters and preparing for interviews. All 10th graders students had some really interesting positions lined up in fields ranging from architecture to auto engineering, technology, fashion photography, local government, nonprofit services and more.

Today, they presented their experiences and learnings in a "job fair" to their classmates, teachers and interested parents at our campus. The students were excited for the chance to get a glimpse into work life and take away new perspectives. All agreed that this special learning opportunity was an excellent life lesson!
