GISSV Mountain View 10th graders gained hands-on work experiences in companies and offices around the Bay Area last week.
During GISSV's annual 10th grade internship/job shadowing program last week, our Mountain View students had the opportunity to gather first impressions of life in the working world while spending an inspiring five days with businesses around the Bay Area.
The students organized the job arrangements themselves, which enabled to learn about writing application letters and preparing for interviews. All of our students did a great job finding interesting positions in a variety of fields - ranging from architecture, media, auto engineering, technology, veterinary medicine, to wellness and more.
They then presented their experiences and lessons learned to their fellow classmates, teachers and parents at our campus "job fair". The students were excited for the chance to get a glimpse into work life and take away new perspectives. All agreed that this special learning opportunity was an excellent life lesson!
