About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Presentation on Artificial Intelligence Research

GISSV's 10th graders have been working in a cross-curricular and transatlantic project on the implications of the development in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

From October to December 2017, GISSV's 10th graders have been working in a cross-curricular and transatlantic project on the implications of the development in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

Together with their peers from Beatrix College, Tilburg, The Netherlands, each group chose a research question and produced a website or a film with the results of their research. The results can be seen by the school community on our new project website. Enjoy!

This project has been so successful that we have decided to turn it in as our application to the annual competition for German Schools Abroad from the German Chamber of Commerce (IHK-Auslandsschulwettbewerb). We would like to thank all the participants who helped us with this undertaking, especially all the experts that supported the students with their expertise and our peers in Tilburg, Netherlands.
