"Let's say Hello" Project

Connected via video messages our Mountain View Kindergarten classes collaborate with a school in Poland.

Kindergarten students from 'Niepubliczne Przedszkole Kubuś Puchatek i Przyjaciele', Poland are learning English and approached our Mountain View kindergarteners for this international project taking place from October 2017 to May 2018.

The main purpose of "Let's Say Hello" project was to enable children to communicate with their friends from other countries. Connecting children from foreign kindergartens, can help them develop their social skills, learn more about tolerance, other cultures and nations. Additionally, children become more creative and open-minded.

The aim of the project was to show the diversity of traditions and cultures. In these videos children could talk about their families, hobbies, kindergartens, hometowns and countries, sing songs, talk about food they eat and games they play.

The children who were included in the project were 5 or 6 years old because of their communication skills. The project was divided into five topics. There was a 5-15 minute video for each topic and the videos were displayed on a big screen in the classrooms.
