A Day of Stories: Celebrating the Bundesweiter Vorlesetag

Our students connected with the joy of storytelling during the Bundesweiter Vorlesetag, featuring inspiring readers and captivating tales.

On November 15th, we joined the tradition of the Bundesweiter Vorlesetag (National Reading Day), bringing the magic of storytelling to our students here.

We had the privilege of welcoming a wonderful variety of readers:

  • A visiting student from Munich, reconnecting with a former teacher in a special way.
  • A student’s grandmother, surprising everyone with her visit from Austria and creating a heartwarming moment of recognition.
  • Author Guido Kasmann, live from Germany, who engaged students with his hand puppet performance of Schirmel und Oderich and drew everyone into a world of imagination.

Our students were fascinated by stories of dragons, tigers, bears, frogs, and ravens, relaxing on cozy bean bags as they listened intently. The day ended with a group photo as a gesture of thanks to all our readers, who made this experience truly memorable.

We are already looking forward to next year’s Vorlesetag!
