Students from our SF classes 1c and 2c visited the nearby hospice, spreading joy through Christmas carols.
On Tuesday, students from our San Francisco classes 1c and 2c brought the holiday spirit to our hospice neighbors by singing Christmas carols. Holiday caroling is a cherished tradition that brings people together, spreading warmth, joy, and a sense of community through music—and it's becoming a tradition for our San Francisco elementary school teachers and students to visit the hospice during the holiday season.
The visit included a particularly special moment when one resident invited the children into her room, offering them a view of her perspective of the yard and sharing smiles that brightened everyone’s day. Most of the songs were sung from the hallway to respect the space and ensure everyone could enjoy the melodies.
The children also performed for the nurses during their luncheon, adding warmth to their day. Robin, the hospice manager, made sure the singers left with smiles and a sweet treat—cookies to round out their memorable visit.
