A Joyful Celebration of Music

A Joyful Celebration of Music

Our Elementary School Concert featured Grades 1–4 Music and Strings Classes and brought together melodies from around the world.

Last Thursday, our Multipurpose Room in Mountain View was filled with music, pride, and applause as students in Grades 1–4 took the stage for this year’s Elementary School Concert. The program, presented by both our general Music and Strings Classes, celebrated a diverse range of musical traditions and styles.

Audiences were treated to everything from German folk dances and Beethoven to folk songs from Japan, the Philippines, and Mexico. Highlights included the Grade 2 Music Class’s rendition of Umupo Po Kayo (“Setz dich hin, lieber Freund”), the Grade 3 Strings performance of Offenbach’s Can Can, and a joint Grade 4 Music and Strings collaboration on Cielito Lindo.

Each group brought their unique energy and interpretation to the pieces, showing not only musical growth but also an appreciation for the global language of music. Congratulations to all performers and a big thank you to our dedicated music teachers for guiding our students and preparing such a thoughtful and engaging program.
