- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Abistreich - Senior Prank 2025

GISSV’s senior class celebrated their farewell with a classic Abistreich—and now it’s time for their oral Abitur exams.

Per tradition, the senior class at GISSV bid farewell to the school community with their Abistreich, the classic senior prank. What began as a lighthearted and creative send-off was a meaningful moment for the entire Mountain View campus, as the seniors marked the end of their school journey together.

Next week, the celebration turns to focus as our graduates take on their oral Abitur exams. These final assessments are a major milestone in the German school system, and we wish all our students confidence and success as they give their best.

Congratulations to the GISSV seniors—and to all graduates at the German International Schools of North America. We’re proud of your accomplishments and excited to see what comes next!
