About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Art Meets Music: KuMu Café Showcases Student Creativity

Our third annual Art and Music mini-exhibition brought together stunning student artwork, live performances, and a celebration of creativity across campuses.

Creativity took center stage at GISSV as our Art and Music Departments hosted the third annual Art and Music mini-exhibition in the Mountain View MPR. Under the title KuMu Café: Me(e)hrblick – Kunst trifft auf Klangwelle, this year’s event once again blended Kunst (art) and Musik (music), turning the space into a vibrant showcase of student talent.

The afternoon opened with captivating live performances by our students, setting the tone for a multisensory experience. Guests then enjoyed engaging video presentations and explored an inspiring exhibition of student artwork from both the San Francisco and Mountain View campuses (middle and high school).

Adding to the community atmosphere, a delightful Kaffee & Kuchen buffet invited everyone to linger and connect. Many thanks to all families who contributed homemade cakes — your support helped make the event a wonderful success.
