Celebrating Creativity: SF Elementary Art Show

Students from our San Francisco campus showcased their artistic talents at a vibrant Art Show & Potluck, bringing together families, teachers, and the community.

Recently, the talented first and second graders of our San Francisco campus had the incredible opportunity to present their artistic creations at a spectacular Art Show & Potluck at the House of AI in San Francisco. This inspiring venue provided the perfect backdrop to highlight their creativity, dedication, and artistic growth.

Families, students, and teachers gathered to admire the impressive collection of artwork while sharing a delicious potluck, with culinary contributions from the school community. Parents listened with pride as their children eagerly shared the inspirations behind their masterpieces—artworks influenced by renowned artists such as Frida Kahlo, Mary Cassatt, Piet Mondrian, Alma Thomas, Henri Matisse, and Alexander Calder.

The exhibition featured a diverse range of media, including tempera and acrylic painting, oil and chalk pastels, collage, wire sculptures, and felting with sheep’s wool. Students beamed with pride as they saw their hard work beautifully displayed, while parents were amazed by their children's creativity and artistic accomplishments.

A heartfelt thank you to the generous members of our community for providing this incredible space, and to curator and event organizer, homeroom teacher Nadine Heckmann-Zakharov, along with our wonderful, hardworking parent volunteers for creating this special celebration for the students and families of 1&2c. Your support and effort made this unforgettable morning possible!
