- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Celebrating Karneval at GISSV

Our students brought the festive spirit of Karneval to life with colorful costumes, lively games, and joyful traditions across both campuses.

Also known as Fasching, Karneval is a beloved tradition celebrated with music, dancing, and playful customs. Our students fully embraced the spirit of the season, dressing up in creative costumes and taking part in lively celebrations. On Rosenmontag, both campuses were filled with excitement as students paraded through the campus in a cheerful polonaise. From fun games and lively dances to delicious treats, the festivities created a wonderful sense of joy and community.

With plenty of laughter, enthusiasm, and tradition, our Karneval celebrations were a fantastic way to bring German culture to life.
