Celebrating Our DSD Graduates

Celebrating Our DSD Graduates

GISSV students recently earned the DSD – Deutsches Sprachdiplom and were celebrated for their German language achievements alongside fellow Bay Area recipients.

We are proud to honor our students who successfully earned the DSD – Deutsches Sprachdiplom! Last Saturday, they joined fellow Bay Area recipients at Silicon Valley International School in Menlo Park, with Deputy General Consul Franciska Obermeyer from the German Consulate General San Francisco personally recognizing their achievements.

Our GISSV students excelled in listening, reading, writing, and presenting: 32 students took the DSD1 exam, with 13 attending the diploma ceremony. On the Saturday School side, 7 DSD1 students and 5 DSD2 students received certificates, with the DSD2 students also receiving a German flag cord to wear at their high school graduation.

It was a wonderful moment to celebrate our students’ dedication, resilience, and love of language learning, alongside families, teachers, and the wider German-speaking community. Herzlichen Glückwunsch to all our graduates!
