Celebrating Talent on Stage

On Friday, June 5, students, families, and staff gathered at Most Holy Redeemer Church for the annual San Francisco Elementary Concert and Students on Stage event—an afternoon filled with music, creativity, and celebration.

The Elementary Concert featured performances by the San Francisco Choir, recorder and Boomwhacker groups, string ensembles, and elementary classes. Students shared a diverse repertoire that included African and Australian choral medleys, folk songs, classical favorites, and contemporary pieces. From lively ensemble performances such as Viva la Vida, Can Can, and The Flintstones to class presentations and traditional songs, the concert highlighted the musical growth and collaboration of our elementary students.

The Students on Stage portion of the program showcased talented performers from across grade levels, giving students the opportunity to share their individual passions and accomplishments with the community. Audience members enjoyed performances on violin, viola, piano, guitar, and voice, as well as a traditional fan dance. The program ranged from works by Beethoven, Vivaldi, and Giordani to contemporary favorites by Billie Eilish and Stephen Schwartz, reflecting the wide variety of interests and talents within our student body.

Together, the two programs celebrated not only artistic achievement, but also the confidence, dedication, and perseverance that come from preparing for and performing in front of an audience. From first-grade students taking the stage to experienced middle school performers, each student contributed to a memorable afternoon of music and self-expression.
