Class 5b’s Warm Hearts Café Supports the Annual Fund

Mountain View students led a café fundraiser, building teamwork and giving back to the school community.

Mountain View Class 5b recently hosted its Warm Hearts Café, turning the multipurpose room into a welcoming space for a meaningful cause. The student-led initiative raised $578.73 for GISSV’s Annual Fund and brought together families, teachers, and guests for an afternoon centered on community and giving back.

With the support of their class PA representatives and parents, 20 students took full ownership of the event. They designed posters, baked treats, organized schedules, and greeted visitors—demonstrating impressive responsibility and teamwork throughout the entire process.

More than a fundraiser, the Warm Hearts Café offered a valuable hands-on learning experience. Students practiced collaboration, communication, and leadership skills while seeing firsthand how their efforts can make a tangible difference.

As their homeroom teacher reflected, it was especially rewarding to watch the students step up with such enthusiasm and pride. Their commitment and cooperation highlighted the strength of the GISSV community and the impact students can have when given the opportunity to lead.

Inspired by their example, families are invited to continue supporting the Annual Fund and help sustain the programs and experiences that enrich student life across our campuses.
