About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Computer Science Youth Competition 2022

With a total of 136 students from grades 5-12 (from both our campuses), GISSV took part in the Jugendwettbewerb Informatik in March/April 2022.

A number of students have won prizes, including a 1st prize (Mateo from the current 8a)! Congratulations!

The certificates and prizes arrived after the summer break and most of them have already been distributed to the classes. (A few can be seen in the photos.)

In the second semester of the school year, in March/April 2023, classes from 5-12 will again take part in the competition. Many are already approaching leading teacher Sebastian Berk. They cannot wait for the next round!
