- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

DSD Diplomas Awarded to GISSV Students

GISSV students have successfully earned their DSD diplomas, reflecting their hard work and achievement in mastering the German language.

On Sunday, the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA) held a special ceremony at EBGIS in Emeryville to honor students who received German Language Diplomas. Thirteen GISSV students were awarded the DSD I, along with nine students from our GISSV Saturday School, while eight Saturday School students achieved the DSD II.

The DSD German Language Diplomas are internationally recognized certificates that demonstrate German language proficiency, with DSD I at the A2/B1 level and DSD II at the B2/C1 level, indicating a higher degree of fluency.

Many proud members of the GISSV and GISSV Saturday School communities attended to celebrate this significant achievement.
