About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

  Our well-balanced program provides rich project-based and differentiated learning experiences, fostering interests across all subject areas as well as social-emotional competency, critical thinking, artistic expression and physical motor skills.

Wrapping up the School Year with Special PA Meetings

Before the school year concluded, the last Parent Association (PA) meetings took place informally at Whisman Park in MV and the church garden in SF.

Parent representatives, along with members of the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team, gathered for the final time in 2022-23 - with extended thank yous and goodbyes, we bid farewell to the school year.

A special goodbye was celebrated in Mountain View, honoring Anja Seibt, who has served as PA and the MV PA President for many years. We express our heartfelt gratitude for her dedicated service and wish her well as she steps away, choosing not to stand for election next year.

As we look ahead to the next school year, we reflect on the achievements and camaraderie that defined this year. The PA will continue to foster community and collaborate with the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to provide an exceptional learning environment for our children.

Thank you to all parent representatives, the Board of Directors, and the Leadership Team for their unwavering commitment. Let's carry the spirit of community into the future as we embark on a new chapter together. Here's to a successful and rewarding school year ahead!
