- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Farewell to Consul General Oliver Schramm

GISSV bids a warm farewell to Consul General Oliver Schramm as he concludes his post in the Bay Area.

Throughout his time in the Bay Area, Consul General Oliver Schramm has been a valued supporter of dual-language, multicultural education and a strong advocate for German schools abroad. We are especially grateful for the Consulate General’s continued support of GISSV as an accredited German School Abroad—and for his personal interest in our students and school community.

During last Monday’s school assembly, our community came together to thank him and wish him well. Head of School Dr. Wolfram Schrimpf, joined by students and staff, honored him with a heartfelt farewell song and warm words of appreciation.

We thank Consul General Oliver Schramm for his commitment to education and cultural exchange and wish him and his family all the very best as they begin their next chapter.
