From Kibili to Graduation: Thank You, Teachers

From Kibili to Graduation: Thank You, Teachers

During Teacher Appreciation Week, students and families came together to celebrate the educators who guide, encourage, and inspire our students every day.

Teacher Appreciation Week offered a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the important role teachers play throughout a student’s journey at GISSV.

Some journeys begin in Kibili and continue all the way to graduation. Along the way, it is the teachers—steady, caring, encouraging, and dedicated—who help shape not only what students learn, but who they become.

This week, our seniors shared heartfelt reflections about educators who made a lasting difference in their lives. Paired with preschool and graduation portraits, their words served as a beautiful reminder of how deeply relationships between students and teachers can grow over the years.

Across both campuses, families also created thoughtful moments of appreciation for faculty and staff. In Mountain View, parents organized a generous international brunch filled with homemade specialties from around the world. In San Francisco, faculty and staff were welcomed with a wonderful Mexican-inspired breakfast. Students added personal touches with flowers, cards, notes, and gifts for their teachers.

To all of our teachers: thank you for the countless ways you support, guide, challenge, and care for our students each day. And to our families and students: thank you for helping create such a joyful and appreciative community.

Teacher Appreciation Week reminded us once again that schools thrive not only through academics, but through kindness, connection, and gratitude.
