About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

GISSV Families Joining the Presidio Trail Run

Students, parents and staff of GISSV (from both our campuses) spent a fun and active Sunday outdoors while participating in the Presidio Trail Run.

They ran 10K, 5K or 1.5 miles on scenic trails through the beautiful San Francisco Presidio.

Some of them even climbed onto the winners' podium! Liam and Hassan from 8th grade made 1st and 2nd place in the 5k run and Amelie from 9th grade made 1st in 10K in her age group. The youngest attendee from our school community was preschooler Nobu from the Papageien class. (Results: https://bit.ly/3Vnnhgy) Congrats everyone!

A special shoutout to student body president (SF) Amelie for bringing the families from both our campuses together for this fun event.
