- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

GISSV Games 2025: A Day of Fun and Community

Students from both campuses came together for the first-ever GISSV Games—a day full of teamwork, sports, and school spirit.

Last Friday, on October 10, the Student Council hosted the first-ever GISSV Games, bringing together students from both the San Francisco and Mountain View campuses for a day dedicated to sports, fun, and community spirit.

Students from grades 1–12 participated in friendly competitions and team activities across the Mountain View campus, cheering one another on and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and energy as classes mixed and collaborated across age groups and campuses.

The event marked a wonderful way to kick off Fall Break and celebrate the sense of togetherness that defines GISSV.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all students, staff, and volunteers who made the inaugural GISSV Games such a success.
