- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

GISSV Hosts North American DAS Admin Heads

GISSV recently welcomed German Schools administrative leaders for a multi-day meeting.

For the first time, the annual meeting of administrative heads from the North American German DAS (German Schools Abroad) took place right here at GISSV. From Sunday through Wednesday, leaders convened on both campuses to collaborate on forward-thinking strategies, with a particular focus on using AI in the school business office as well as connecting the various administrative departments. The event fostered invaluable connections and knowledge-sharing. “We have known each other for a long time, and the collaboration is incredibly amazing,” Mike Nielsen noted, reflecting the supportive network among German DAS schools worldwide. German International Schools from Boston, New York, Brooklyn, and Washington D.C. attended in person for the first time in San Francisco and Mountain View
