- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Eco School Activity: Adopt Whisman Park Kicks Off

Our MV Eco School Activity returns for its fourth year, with students helping keep Whisman Park clean and giving back to the community.

Next week marks the start of the fourth year of GISSV’s Eco School Activity: Adopt Whisman Park. This Mountain View initiative allows our students to actively contribute to the community by keeping Whisman Park clean and enjoyable for everyone.

Each week, a different Elementary or Middle School class takes on the responsibility of picking up litter and caring for the park. The program encourages environmental awareness, teamwork, and civic responsibility among our students.

Class 8a kicked off this year’s program with enthusiasm, setting a great example for the classes to follow (see photo). We look forward to another successful year of giving back to our local community.
