Students from Preschool to Grade 12 walked, ran, and raised funds for a good cause on both our campuses.
What a day! The GISSV Walk-a-Thon on Friday, April 11 brought students, staff, and families together in a joyful celebration of community, movement, and meaningful impact.
From our youngest preschoolers to high schoolers, students across campuses laced up their shoes to walk, run, and raise funds for causes close to their hearts: Charity: Water, Second Harvest Food Bank, #TeamTrees, and future Student Council initiatives.
Our San Francisco middle schoolers traveled to the Mountain View campus to join the main event, while Kibili and elementary students in SF brought the Walk-a-Thon spirit to their own track. With the sun shining and music playing, the event was filled with energy, enthusiasm—and even a visit from the Easter Bunny, who hopped in to share high-fives and cheer on participants.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our Schülervertretung (Student Council)—students Hassan and Kilian—liaison teachers Mrs. Schloetter and Mrs. Jardine, and the many staff members, seniors, and parent volunteers who lent their time and support.
