- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

GISSV’s Jugend debattiert Club Compete for a Spot in the Regional Finals

Our top debaters faced off in a thrilling school competition. The top placers will represent GISSV at the regional finals this May.

On Tuesday, April 1, GISSV’s Jugend debattiert school competition brought together the best debaters from both the Mountain View and San Francisco campuses. The students engaged in a high-level debate on the question: "Should e-sports become an Olympic discipline?"

After a series of compelling arguments, we are excited to announce that Taiyo B. (Grade 9) claimed first place. Wiebke M. secured second place, and Mila A. and Milo H. were also impressive finalists.

Taiyo and Wiebke will now represent GISSV at the regional finals in May, where they will compete against other German-speaking students from the West Coast. We wish them both the best of luck and look forward to their continued success in the next round.
