About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

The students attended the world’s largest and most prestigious Model UN conference for secondary school students in New York City.

Clara G., Toshi J., Katjana K., and Rafael W. gave their best towards building procedural and practical skills in fixing persistent societal issues at the National High School Model United Nations conference in New York City this past March 15-18. Role playing finding solutions to real world sorts of world challenges is at the heart of the Model United Nations (MUN) program, and these four went to "the big show," the real life United Nations General Assembly hall, to cap their New York experience. Most of the program took place in the Hilton Midtown where 2,000 students from across the USA, and from around the world gathered to mix and share perspectives. In a happy "luck of the draw," our delegates all played German-speaking Austria. Team members will be happy to share their experience, so ask away!
