- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

GISSVx Talks: What is Your Human Wi-Fi Password?

Tenth graders impressed with their confidence and creativity during this year’s GISSVx Talks in Mountain View.

They were nervous at first—but once on stage, our 10th graders delivered their talks with confidence and composure. On Monday, October 6, twenty-two students presented TED Talk-style speeches in the Mountain View multipurpose room as part of this year’s GISSVx Talks under the theme What is Your Human Wi-Fi Password?

Their presentations reflected a wide range of perspectives on the topic (Dis)Connected—from the social and emotional effects of social media and AI to the quiet, meaningful connections humans can form with animals and themselves.

Parents and several secondary homerooms attended the event, celebrating the students’ thoughtful insights and impressive public speaking skills.
