- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Goodbye Guest Students from Chile - Welcome Students from France

The first weekend of February was all about our exchange programs.

After visiting Alcatraz with our exchange students from Chile on Friday, teacher Céline Schapeler (GISSV's exchange program organizer) together with the host families bid farewell to the 7 students. After their three-week stay in the Bay Area - they returned home to Valparaiso on the weekend.

And yesterday she - and host families from 10th grade - welcomed our next guests who will be staying for 3 weeks with us: 4 French guest students from our partner school in Bordeaux (Lycée Tivoli) arrived safely at the airport. GISSV students will go on a return visit at the end of March.
