Students from elementary and secondary school helped keep our campus and neighborhood clean through a yearlong sustainability project.
For the fourth consecutive year, GISSV’s Green Team—under the guidance of Ms. Rahnema—organized the “Adopt Whisman Park” clean-up initiative on and around our Mountain View campus.
As part of GISSV’s commitment to environmental education and community engagement, students from both elementary and secondary school took part in the project. Every 10 weeks throughout the 2024/25 school year, groups of students rolled up their sleeves to help care for Whisman Field, the basketball court, the middle school alley, and sections of the Stevens Creek Trail by picking up litter.
The project offers more than a cleaner environment. It encourages students to take responsibility for their surroundings, work together toward a common goal, and experience the real-world impact of sustainable action.
We are proud of our students for their ongoing efforts to support a greener, cleaner community!
Thank you to everyone who participated, and especially to Ms. Rahnema for her leadership!
