About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Thank you to HSV CEO Jonas Boldt and COO Dr. Dr. Eric Huwer for stopping by GISSV in Mountain View - together with German Consul General Oliver Schramm - during the break.

After the whole HSV team and management went to LA and Southern California, the German Consulate General in San Francisco welcomed CEO Jonas Boldt and COO Dr. Eric Huwer for a visit to the Bay Area.

First stop: City of San José where they visited the region's only Major League Soccer team: San Jose Earthquakes Soccer. They met with officials from the Oakland Roots Sports Club, (United Soccer League (USL) (2. Liga), NorCal Premier Soccer (Fußballverband Nordkalifornien) and Association Football Club – visited the Golden State Warriors - one of the most successful clubs of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in recent years – and explored the Silicon Valley: They stopped by the startup cryptohunt and went to the iconic J Buck's Restaurant.

It was a pleasure to welcome the group to GISSV where they met with students from 11th and 12th grade and talked about career paths as sports professionals and in sports management, women's equality, work-life balance, and more.
