About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Boogie Woogie Workshop with Frank Muschalle

Our 9th graders as well as the students from music class in 10th and 11th grade had the pleasure to take part in a very special workshop.

Pianist Frank Muschalle, who is on tour, stopped by our Mountain View Campus before he gave a concert (Boogie Woogie Jazz Piano) in San Francisco on Tuesday night.

Frank Muschalle has been touring worldwide for three decades to all points of the compass and is considered one of the most sought-after Blues & Boogie-Woogie pianists.

During the workshop sessions the students got a glimpse into the history of Boogie Woogie and the stylistics, could listen to a few songs, and got the chance to play with Mr. Muschalle! Wow, let us tell you: the students did a fantastic job during the jazz improvisations and jam sessions!
