Joyful Nikolaus Traditions at GISSV

Joyful Nikolaus Traditions at GISSV

Our youngest students welcomed St. Nicholas with songs, poems, and festive traditions that brought joy to the season.

Tomorrow, December 6,  marks St. Nicholas Day — a beloved German tradition celebrated on December 6 that honors the patron saint known for his generosity. At GISSV, the magic arrived a little early this week.

Our Kibili (Preschool & Kindergarten) children had a special visit from St. Nicholas, sharing joyful songs and poems. Their excitement filled the room as each child received a small gift in return, creating memorable moments of delight and wonder.

Tonight, many children at home will polish their shoes in anticipation of discovering little surprises inside tomorrow morning — a cherished tradition that continues to bring warmth and joy to families each year.

Through these celebrations, GISSV nurtures not only cultural traditions but also a sense of community and festive spirit that brightens the holiday season for all our students.
