Kiel Delegation Visits GISSV

Part of Kiel’s official delegation visited our Mountain View campus to celebrate the student exchange and explore future collaboration.

This morning, we had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Kiel, San Francisco’s sister city, to our Mountain View campus. The visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen the long-standing partnership between our two cities and to support meaningful student exchange programs.

The delegation included Bettina Aust, City President of Kiel, Frauke Wiprich, Head of International Affairs and Sustainability, and representatives from The Bay Areas and the San Francisco–Kiel Sister City Committee.

During their visit, the delegation met with teachers and students to reflect on this year’s student exchange with the Max-Planck-Schule, sharing experiences and discussing ways to expand collaboration in the future. The exchange program continues to provide students on both sides with opportunities to deepen cultural understanding, build friendships, and gain global perspectives.

The visit underscores the value of international partnerships in education and highlights GISSV’s commitment to connecting local learning with global engagement. We thank the delegation from Kiel for their visit and look forward to continuing this inspiring exchange in the years to come.
