About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Middle School Dance Brings Hollywood to GISSV

Middle School students from Mountain View and San Francisco came together for a red carpet evening full of music, food, and celebration.

Last Friday, April 4, the Inner Court on our Mountain View campus was transformed into a Hollywood-inspired venue as Middle School students from both the Mountain View and San Francisco campuses gathered for a special evening of celebration.

The second Middle School Dance of the school year brought the excitement of a red carpet premiere to campus, complete with themed decorations, a photo booth, music, and plenty of food. Students had the opportunity to dress up, walk the red carpet, and enjoy a lively atmosphere that encouraged connection and fun across campuses.

The event was made possible by the efforts of the Student Council (SV), with special thanks to our student leaders Kilian and Hassan for their dedication and creativity in bringing the event to life. The dance was a great success, showcasing the energy and spirit of our Middle School community and highlighting the power of student-led initiatives.
