About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Style, music, and plenty of laughter filled the room at last Friday’s Middle School Dance.

As the second Middle School Dance of the 2025/26 school year—and continuing a beloved tradition—this event followed the first dance held earlier this year at our San Francisco campus. This time, students from both the Mountain View and San Francisco campuses gathered together for an evening themed “Overdressed,” and they truly delivered.

From elegant outfits to bold red carpet moments, creativity and personality were on full display, making it a night to remember.

Despite the change in venue due to weather, the MPR at the Mountain View campus quickly transformed into a lively dance floor. The energy stayed high throughout the evening as students danced with friends, enjoyed the music, and celebrated together as one community.

A big thank you goes to our SV (Schülervertretung) for organizing the event, to all staff and chaperones who supported the evening, and especially to our Hausmeister Javier for his last-minute help in moving the event indoors so everything could run smoothly.
