- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Movie Night: Checker Tobi III

Last Friday, more than 100 students, parents, and family members from both GISSV campuses came together at our San Francisco campus for another enjoyable Movie Night.

This year’s film, Checker Tobi III – Die heimliche Herrscherin der Erde, took viewers on an exciting journey into the world beneath our feet. Together with Tobi, audiences traveled from the animal and plant world of Madagascar to the permafrost of Svalbard and the traces of the Maya in Mexico, exploring the connections between soil, nature, and our own lives.

With adventure, humor, and plenty of fascinating facts, the film offered an entertaining evening of learning and discovery for the whole family.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together. We also gratefully acknowledge the Goethe-Institut San Francisco for generously supporting our Movie Night.
