MV Elementary Concert Celebrates the Joy of Spring

Our MV Elementary students delighted audiences with a vibrant concert featuring songs and instrumental pieces from around the world.

Last Thursday afternoon, our Mountain View Elementary School was filled with music, energy, and joy as students in Grades 1–4 took the stage for their annual concert. This year’s theme, Frühlingsfreuden – The Joy of Spring, set the tone for a lively and colorful program celebrating the season through music.

Music Classes (Grades 1–4) and Strings Classes (Grades 3–4) presented a variety of pieces they have been working on over the past months. The program reflected a rich diversity of styles and traditions—from German folk songs such as “Der Specht” (The Woodpecker) and “Der Winter ist vorüber” (Winter Has Passed) to international selections like “Tiritomba” and “Villano (Peasant’s Dance).” The audience also enjoyed instrumental highlights, including Musette by Johann Sebastian Bach and the familiar Theme from The Flintstones, performed by our Grade 4 Strings.

From the youngest singers in Grade 1 to the more advanced performers in Grade 4, students demonstrated not only their growing musical abilities but also confidence, teamwork, and enthusiasm. A special moment in the program was the student duet performance, showcasing the talent and dedication of our young musicians.

We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated music teachers for their inspiring work and to all families and guests who joined us for this special event. We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to many more musical moments to come.
