- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Reading Night Celebrates World Book Day

SF Students in grades 4–6 gathered for a cozy evening of reading, listening, and book swapping.

In honor of World Book Day, our San Francisco campus hosted a special Reading Night for students in grades 4–6 this Wednesday. The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where students could relax, connect, and celebrate their love of books.

The evening featured independent reading time, a lively read-aloud session, and a book swap that gave students the chance to share and discover new titles. With pizza served to round out the night, the event was a perfect blend of literary joy and community spirit.
