SF Campus Celebrates 2nd Walk to School Day

The SF campus’s second Walk to School Day brought students and families together for a morning focused on healthy, active transportation and fun community activities.

Last Wednesday, the GISSV SF campus celebrated its second Walk to School Day of the school year with an outstanding turnout of 115 participants. Students, parents, and community members chose to walk, bike, or roll to school, helping promote healthy habits, active transportation, and a strong sense of community on campus.

Participants were welcomed with morning refreshments upon arrival, creating a positive and energetic start to the day. One of the highlights was the popular Fender Blender smoothie activity at recess, where students enjoyed making fresh smoothies while learning about healthy lifestyles in a fun and interactive way.

The event also featured a raffle with a variety of exciting prizes, adding to the enthusiasm and celebration throughout the day.

A special thank you goes to the dedicated parent volunteers whose support and organization helped make the event such a success. Their efforts created a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

GISSV is grateful to all students, families, and volunteers who participated and contributed to another successful Walk to School Day at the SF campus.
