About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Sharks German Night 2023

GISSV spearheaded the Sharks German Night at the SAP Center in San Jose on March 16, bringing together the Bay Area German community for a fun night of hockey!

Although the San Jose Sharks lost 2-1 in overtime against the Seattle Kraken, GISSV families, staff, and friends had a blast cheering them on together. We even got a visit from Sharkie himself in the group section - and one of the most memorable parts of the night was going on the ice after the game for a group picture!

Thank you to Sharks player Nico Sturm for stopping by to say hello to some lucky attendees. He sent his warm regards to those who missed out on meeting him! As one of the few German-born players in the NHL, Sturm is an inspiration to many members of the Bay Area German community. We all wished him and the Sharks the best of luck for the rest of the season!
