About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Students on Stage 2024: MV Elementary School

Our MV Elementary School Students on Stage events, part of our annual concert series, took place last Thursday, showcasing the remarkable talents of our students.

The performances were so popular that we held two separate events to accommodate all the participants.

Part 1: Showcasing 1st and 2nd Graders

The first event was a dazzling display of our 1st and 2nd graders' abilities, featuring performances from the Choir, Ballet Class, Grade 1 Music Classes, Grade 2 Music Classes, and individual solos. The audience was treated to a delightful array of music and dance, highlighting the young students' hard work and dedication.

Part 2: Celebrating 3rd and 4th Graders

The second event continued the celebration with performances from our 3rd and 4th graders. This concert included the Grade 3 Music Class, a solo piano performance, Grade 4 Music Class, Band Class, Choir, Grade 3 Strings, Elementary String Orchestra, and Grade 4 String. The diverse array of performances showcased the depth and range of our students' musical talents.

A huge round of applause goes to our remarkable Director of Music Performance, Dr. Marie-Louise Catsalis, Head of Classroom Music, Alissa Roedig, and our dedicated music teachers for their unwavering commitment to nurturing these incredible talents. Bravo to all our performers!
