Supporting Learning Through Siempact Technology Donations

Turning a challenging business moment into something positive can create lasting impact—especially when resources are redirected with intention. Through Siempact’s PC Donations initiative, functional IT equipment from a recent business ramp-down was repurposed and donated to community organizations across the Bay Area, helping reduce e-waste while expanding access to technology.

As part of this initiative, GISSV received laptops that support students’ learning and classroom activities. The donation reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, educational access, and responsible reuse of technology.

In total, 20 laptops were distributed to five organizations serving diverse communities and needs across the region, including programs focused on STEM education, bilingual and international learning, refugee and immigrant integration, and support for underserved children.

For GISSV, the laptops provide valuable resources that enhance learning opportunities for students.

Initiatives like this demonstrate how thoughtful collaboration between businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations can transform unused resources into real opportunities—benefiting students, families, and communities alike.
