About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

  Our well-balanced program provides rich project-based and differentiated learning experiences, fostering interests across all subject areas as well as social-emotional competency, critical thinking, artistic expression and physical motor skills.

The Family Giving Tree Donation Drive 2021

With your help, the GISSV community was able to collect more than 130 gifts to families in need right here in the Bay Area. This is a record!

Thank you to everybody who participated in this year’s Family Giving Tree Donation Drive!

Lisa Kranzler dropped off the gifts in San Francisco, and Jenny Jungeblut took them to the Sunnyvale warehouse to be distributed further. We cannot thank you enough.

To those of you who did not get a gift card this year: thank you so much for you generosity as well! We will get more wish cards next year so that everyone can take part who wants to. In the meantime, the Family Giving Tree is still accepting gifts online: https://vtree.fgt.org/fgt/
