Virtual Holiday Market 2020

Virtual Holiday Market 2020

We couldn’t celebrate the holiday season together and share some Glühwein in person, but our dedicated HM team kept the holiday spirit alive by creating a virtual Holiday Market event.

Parent volunteers and long time Holiday Market team leaders Rachel Beckert and Sheila Muto together with a team of hard working GISSV elves gave the opportunity to stroll by virtually to the market to shop for German ornaments and treats from November 20 to December 20.

On December 12, we came together for a virtual event to meet Santa live, to enjoy holiday musical performances under direction of GISSV Music Director Marie-Louise Catsalis, and to have fun with an auction.

This holiday season looked different from past years, but this was only temporary. It was up to all of us to find ways to keep traditions alive but in a much safer way. And our amazing GISSV Holiday Market team did that very successfully!
